My tea is cozy!

I won a giveaway with Shiny Bees audio podcast for Pink Hair Designs' new book, MZANSI: South Africa on my Needles by Sally-Jane Cameron. Oh wow. This book, available as e-format or hard copy, is such a delight and chock full with gorgeous patterns inspired by Sally-Jane's surrounding South African home. I immediately wanted to knit something from the book and chose my first project to be the Drakensburg Mug Warmer. (Pattern is available for single purchase or in the book.) I used a light lavender Sandnes Garn which is a Norwegian Merino and was ideal for this little project - Cath Kidston buttons seemed perfect for the accent on side. My tea mug is super cozy in it. Yes, it told me so!

Friday. Ah, Friday! It's super cold again but dry. Looks to be a good week-end ahead - hope yours is also sweet and filled with crafty goodness. I had planned to podcast this week and the week went by ... next week I'll record and hope you tune in then for all the happenings.

  1. Love your tea cozy! I was at Safeway today and saw a magazine about tea...and it made me think of you! I came close to buying it, but didn't. I don't drink tea, but love reading about it!
