Friday's finish

Just before 2am this morning, I put the last binding stitch in my shawl. The design, found HERE, by Kay Jones is a stunner. It's suggested to be worked in a patterned sock yarn but I don't knit socks however love fingering yarns and decided to use Neighborhood Fiber Company's studio sock base in the color way, Randle Circle for the majority of the shawl. Miss Babs 2ply yummy toes in color way, Prince, is the edging which I think really frames in colors magnificently!

I didn't have enough of this as the ruffle border has well over 550 stitches, yeah!, so I ended up digging in stash yarns and chose a navy/dk blue and then an aqua that picked up the color way from Prince ... I just adore how it came out. It's soaked this morning and is drying and well, I can't wait to wear it. What a delightful design - I bought it because of the ruffle border. Yeah, sure did! I highly recommend the pattern - a true delight to knit and cherish.

Did you finish something today? Happy Friday!
